Can an AI agent book a service your team can fulfill?

eaveOS is an assessment service for multi-location home and auto service businesses. We examine how customer AI agents navigate service areas, fee conditions, and booking tools—and where a request stops short of an accepted appointment.

The service is in development. Contact us to discuss assessment scope and availability.

Our furnace stopped working. Find someone who can come today, and check the callout fee with me before requesting a visit.

Provider websiteSame-day requests available$89 diagnostic fee listed; conditions apply.

This provider accepts same-day requests, but the site does not confirm a dispatch window. Shall I request a callback to check availability and the fee for your address?

Request a callback?

A request does not reserve an appointment.

The operating question

A request is not
scheduled work.

Customer approval, a website acknowledgement, and provider acceptance are different events. The assessment asks where the journey actually stopped—and what your team can do next.

  1. CustomerApproves a request
  2. Booking channelAcknowledges receipt
  3. BusinessAccepts the appointment

What you receive

Know what failed.
Who can act.
What to retest.

A useful finding connects agent behavior to an operating decision.

  • A dated record of the scenarios, agents, and conditions tested.
  • Findings prioritized against agreed business rules and potential operating consequences.
  • Suggested owners, evidence gaps, and a defined retest scope.

Synthetic example

Appointment requested. Acceptance unverified.

A synthetic example of the proposed assessment output. No customer, provider, or observed test result is represented.

Observed behavior
In this example, an agent describes a callback-request acknowledgement as a confirmed service appointment.
Business rule
The illustrative provider requires its scheduling team to accept the appointment before a visit is confirmed.
Evidence boundary
The request acknowledgement is available in the scenario; a scheduling record is not. Provider acceptance remains unverified.
Suggested owner
Digital and the scheduling vendor review the acknowledgement wording; operations confirms the acceptance rule. The cause remains unresolved.
Retest
Check the revised acknowledgement in a controlled test, then observe a new agent journey. Verify acceptance separately if business evidence is available.

What we assess

Follow the whole journey.
Verify the last step.

Discovery is the beginning. The assessment follows the agent's chosen path through your business rules and booking channels.

Find

Can the agent find a relevant location for the customer's service and address?

Choose

Why does it select that provider, and does it interpret the offer correctly?

Arrange

Does it establish service eligibility, fee conditions, availability, and customer approval?

Verify

Does an agreed business record or confirmation establish acceptance of the correct appointment?

One network. Different operating realities.

Separate shared booking-system issues from location-specific policies and handoffs. The agreed sample determines what can be generalized.

Emergency HVAC

Does the agent distinguish same-day requests from confirmed dispatch, and check the service area and diagnostic-fee conditions?

Availability & fee conditions

Plumbing & electrical

Does an after-hours request reach the correct location and response channel, with the service details the team needs?

Location & handoff

Automotive service

Does the agent supply the right vehicle and service details, and distinguish a callback from an accepted appointment?

Service fit & acceptance

How it works

A defined assessment.
An explicit evidence boundary.

The scope establishes what can be tested, which outcomes can be verified, and who can act on the findings.

A successful diagnostic check does not guarantee the next agent journey will succeed.

  1. Define the scope

Agree on locations, customer tasks, business rules, permitted actions, and the evidence needed to verify an outcome.

  2. Observe the agent

Record the path the agent chooses, the conditions of each attempt, and the last verified state.

  3. Investigate the obstacle

Use controlled checks where useful to investigate the issue and distinguish internal, vendor, and agent-side dependencies.

  4. Retest and compare

Check a specific change and subsequent agent journeys separately. Report repetitions and changed conditions alongside the outcomes.

Scope & evidence

Before we test.

How is this different from search or website testing?

Discovery checks examine visibility; scripted checks follow specified paths. The proposed eaveOS assessment follows the path a customer agent selects, evaluates it against your business rules, and checks the outcome as far as agreed evidence allows. It can complement your existing tools.

What counts as a verified booking?

An agreed authoritative business record or confirmation must establish acceptance and match the requested service, location, and appointment details. An agent's claim or a request acknowledgement alone is not enough. Without that evidence, the report states the last verified outcome.

Which agents and locations are covered?

Coverage is agreed based on relevance, available access, permitted use, and evidence. Reports identify the sample and its limits; a finding in one location does not establish the outcome across your network.

Will testing create real requests or bookings?

Only with explicit authorization and agreed safeguards. Before testing, the scope must define approved identities and data, permitted actions, stop conditions, evidence handling, and responsibility for any submitted requests. Otherwise, testing stops before submission.

How do you judge whether a change helped?

The assessment separates controlled diagnostic checks from later agent journeys. Agent or interface information, session conditions, location, timestamps, and repetitions are recorded where available; unavailable conditions are identified. Where conditions are not comparable, the comparison is descriptive and does not establish that the change caused the result.

Where does a request stop becoming a booking?

Tell us about your business. You do not need a test plan to start a discussion.

We can discuss initial locations, booking paths, and the evidence available, then define a proposed scope and price. Availability and delivery timing would be agreed before an engagement.
